Hey tech-lovers, big news from Vivo. The Vivo X300 series (that’s the standard and the Pro) is close. We now know a lot more about what Vivo’s cooking: design, camera, specs, launch date. I’m sharing what I found out — so you can decide if it’s the next phone you’ll want to save up for.
Launch Date & What’s Officially Confirmed
-
Vivo has confirmed that the X300 series will be launched in China on October 13, 2025, at 7:00 PM local time (which is 4:30 PM IST).
-
For India, the launch is not officially confirmed yet, but leaks and rumours point to late November or early December.
So yep, mark your calendar for October if you follow the global release, but keep expectations for India around year-end.
Design & Build: What’s New & What Stands Out
This is one area where Vivo is trying something neat:
-
The camera deco (i.e. the circular island housing the camera sensors) is more seamlessly integrated into the back glass than previous phones. Vivo says it’s using cold-sculpted glass and precise polishing to reduce the bump and make the transition less sharp.
-
The thickness of that camera island from the back base is around 1.28 mm, which is thin for high-end phones with powerful camera modules.
-
Materials and feel: Vivo is going with “velvet glass” for the back of the standard X300. Colour options include shades named Free Blue, Comfortable Purple, Pure Black, plus a pink-tint option for the standard model. For the Pro, there are different hues like Wilderness Brown and Lucky colour (names in leaks, may change).
-
Bezels & display edges are being kept very minimal. Vivo is using what they call LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) tech (for display bezel reduction) and some serious calibration for display colour (Zeiss optics Master Colour, dual eye-care support).
Bottom line: expect something sleek, premium, and very polished. Vivo doesn’t want this to just be “another flagship” — design is meant to matter.
Camera & Imaging: Why Vivo’s Raising the Bar
If you care about photo and video, this is where things get interesting.
-
The main sensor is a 200-MP Samsung HPB (nicknamed “Thanos” in some leaks for the standard X300), which promises high detail.
-
For the Pro version, that same sensor is expected to serve a periscope telephoto function. That means stronger zoom performance (optical), potentially better low-light telephoto shots.
-
Vivo is co-building an imaging chip (called Vivo V3+ in leaks) for computational photography tasks. It helps with things like dynamic range, image fusion, probably video stability.
-
For video: expect 4K at 60fps for what Vivo is calling “Cinematic Portrait” video. Also, improved hardware and possibly stabilization (some leaks mention higher CIPA ratings).
So if cameras are your thing, the Vivo X300 Pro looks like it might punch above its class.
Technical Specs & Performance
Here’s what I found on other hardware stuff — not all final, some are based on leaks but consistent:
Component | What’s Expected / Leaked |
---|---|
Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 9500 for both X300 and X300 Pro. |
RAM & Storage | Up to 16 GB RAM, big storage options likely. Pro may also use upgraded UFS 4.1 storage with faster read/write. |
Display | Standard X300 expected to have ~6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED / OLED, 120 Hz refresh rate, super slim bezels. Pro will likely match or exceed in display tech. |
Durability / Extras | IP68 + IP69 water & dust resistance is coming in. Also, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint, wireless charging likely. |
Colour & Finish | Velvet glass, nature-inspired colours, premium finish, careful craftsmanship. |

Price Expectations & What It Might Cost in India
Money talk! Based on what leaks and rumours are saying:
-
Standard Vivo X300 might be priced in India somewhere in the ₹ 70,000 range.
-
Vivo X300 Pro could push close to ₹ 1,00,000, depending on variant.
Keep in mind: flagship pricing always has wiggle room. Import duties, taxes, the variant (RAM / storage) all affect the final street price.
What this Means: Is It Worth Waiting For
As your tech-buddy, here’s what I think:
-
If you already have a solid flagship from 2024, this might not shake your world unless camera zoom or display finish is very important to you. But the design polish + high-res camera + possibly very good periscope in the Pro make it tempting.
-
For camera lovers, content creators, or people who care deeply about device feel (premium materials, minimal bezels, seamless design), this could be a strong choice.
-
The “India version” will matter: sometimes features are trimmed, or Chinese launch variants differ. So waiting for the local version specs is smart.
Final Thoughts
The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro are shaping up to be strong contenders in the premium smartphone space. From the looks, the design shows real attention to detail. The camera setup is ambitious. And Vivo seems serious about combining aesthetics, hardware, and performance.
If you’re eyeing a new flagship later this year, this is one to keep on your radar. As soon as the India launch date is firmed up, I’ll share all the details so you can decide whether to pre-order, wait for a deal, or maybe pick something else.
