QU gives conditional admission to 350 students for Fall 2015
Qatar University (QU) has given early conditional admission to 350 students for Fall 2015. A total of 490 candidates had applied following an announcement by QU in March in this regard.
Those selected have satisfied the minimum requirements to gain provisional undergraduate admission.
“All students successful in their early conditional application were admitted into the college of their first preference, and that all eight colleges have accepted early conditional admits for the next academic year,” the Admissions Department said yesterday.
“We are very pleased with the success of this new initiative that allows high-achieving high-school students to make early application to QU colleges upon fulfilling the necessary academic requirements and the Qatari parent rule,” department director Nouf al-Kuwari said.
The Admissions Department is still accepting regular undergraduate admission applications for Fall 2015 and encourages applications from prospective students who did not apply under the Early Conditional Admission initiative.
“We look forward to receiving their applications and final/official high school results before the deadline of July 2”, she said.
The applicants who failed to satisfy the requirements in their application for early conditional admission will also be considered for regular admission for Fall 2015, the official added.
