Six business networking events added to QFC’s calender

Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has implemented six annual networking events into its corporate calender as well as a digital and social media marketing strategy with the aim to assist QFC-licensed firms in their goals to build local business relationships. Following the success of the 13th Networking Event for Business and Financial Professionals, QFC gave a statement to discuss the significance of networking in Qatar and how vital it is to business success in the region.

QFC adds six more business network events

DOHA: With the growing importance of networking events for business and financial professionals, Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has incorporated six annual networking events into its corporate calendar, accompanied by a digital and social media marketing strategy.

The aim is to assist QFC-licensed firms in their efforts to build local business relationships.

In a statement QFC yesterday said that following the success of the 13th Networking Event for Business and Financial Professionals, derived from a strategic partnership formed between the QFC and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Qatar, it discussed the importance of networking in Qatar and how crucial it is to business success in the region.

The QFC has successfully built a broad networking platform, in part from understanding the importance of forging partnerships, for example with ICC Qatar, in order to maximising its scope of attracting the leading business and financial professionals in Qatar.

The QFC’s 13th Networking Event for Business and Financial Professionals was held last month at the St Regis Hotel in Doha. Over 400 guests from across the business and financial services communities in Qatar gathered to discuss new opportunities, and the event continued the success of the previous year’s events, in part from the strategic partnership of two leading private sector organisations.

“Networking events are crucial to the development of Qatar’s business environment, and we are delighted to work alongside ICC Qatar to bring Qatar the best the business and finance sectors have to offer,” said Yousuf Al Jaida, Deputy CEO of the QFC.

“This was the second event we hosted in partnership with ICC Qatar, and we look forward to cultivating this relationship in order to help grow a professional networking platform unrivalled anywhere in the Middle East,” he added.

The QFC has evolved with Qatar’s development, fulfilling its mandate to support business and the private sector. Over the years, the business community has worked together effectively to transform Qatar into an extraordinary success story.

“Networking is very important for various reasons, it helps increase your visibility, offers the opportunity to become connected to key influencers in your industry and within your target market, also an excellent opportunity to start relationships that will lead to strategic alliances, joint ventures, and referrals,” said Stefania Badea, Senior Business Development Manager, Axa Insurance.

“The QFC’s networking event was a very well organised and put together event, very informative with well delivered speeches that kept the attention and the interest of the audience to the end, it also gathered a considerable amount of important players from various industries which made it a great networking event for business purposes,” she added.
