A workshop organized by and at the Leadership Development Center has ended. The workshop marked the fourth workshop on leadership skills assessment for the third group of officers of the Ministry of Interior. The workshop also aimed to prepare young talent to take up leadership positions in the future.
MoI officers attend leadership workshop
Doha: The fourth workshop on leadership skills assessment for the third group of officers of the Ministry of Interior, had ended at Leadership Development Centre.
The workshop, organised by the centre, in association with College of Policing in the UK, was for officers nominated for grade II and future leadership programme.
Brig. Badr Ibrahim Al Ghanim, Director, Technical Office of the Minister of Interior, said it was held to find out grade 2 and future leaders, using latest standard and measurement methods, and provide an opportunity for participants for development and creativity in the field of police leadership.
The workshop also aimed to prepare young talent to take up leadership positions in the future, according to the ministry’s requirements. He said the assessment process was completed by Qatari officers recognised by Institute of Leadership and Management in Britain, as international assessing officers specialised in leadership quality and skills assessment.
Lt. Col. Sultan Muhammad Al Kaabi, Director, Community Policing Department, and Officer at the centre, said the centre has been working to prepare Qatari officers to carry out assessment of candidates for the programme of Grade 2 officers as future leaders. He said a selected group was assigned to participate in workshops and has been accredited by International Administrative Institute.
