Qatar Petroleum is said to be going under a phase of restructuring, a phase which is intended to cope with future challenges in developing current oil and gas-producing fields. Speaking to QNA, the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Petroleum International, Nasser Khalil al-Jaidah, said that the reconstructing is coming at the right time when oil prices are low and are a great motivation for the institution to become more capable of facing challenges in the upcoming years.

Qatar Petroleum International (QPI) Chief Executive Officer Nasser Khalil al-Jaidah has said Qatar Petroleum is undergoing a phase of restructuring, in order to cope with future challenges in developing current oil and gas-producing fields.
He said the company’s new vision would be announced in the upcoming months.
Speaking to QNA, al-Jaidah said the restructuring comes at the right time with low oil prices a great motivation for the institution to become more capable of facing challenges in the upcoming years, by getting rid of all the burdens that it accumulated during the previous period.
He said Qatar Petroleum has been busy developing its fields and ventures, which are almost complete now, putting it in a better position now. This he said is due to its expertise, great capacities and global reputation, which has led it to move forward along with major international firms.
Al-Jaidah said the international projects of QPI are currently being evaluated in terms of geopolitics, prices and current challenges, so as to align with Qatar Petroleum’s vision.
Qatar Petroleum’s successes since 1992 were a result of a policy that relies on carrying on with economic projects based on sound foundations, he added.
In the last 20 years, al-Jaidah said, Qatar Petroleum has achieved unprecedented successes compared to its regional peers, while expressing pride in working in the energy field in a period that witnessed Qatar’s transformation into a leading country in this area.
